This is a high-quality synthetic-tipped applicator swab that has a medical-grade sterile polyester fiber. It is manufactured by Puritan and carded in their factory to maintain consistency. The tip is non-absorbent and contains no fatty acids or latent sugars, features that make it ideal for specimen transport, lab work, and diagnostic kits. It is bonded securely to a semi-flexible polystyrene handle by an aqueous-based adhesive.
